Skills include rotary cutting and using rulers, cutters and mats; accurate piecing of a quilt top on the sewing machine; pressing; squaring up blocks; and adding borders. Included in the price is longarm quilting of your quilt, after which we will meet as a class to learn binding methods.

Come into the shop and see the samples done in various fabrics. Pick up your list of materials needed for your project. We look forward to introducing you to quilt making!

In the interest of time, please come into the shop to buy your materials before your class. Our employees are glad to help you pick out your fabrics, and a 10% discount on all supplies purchased in the shop will be yours. Store machines are available for your use if your sewing machine is not transportable.

Advanced Beginner continues to teach piecing skills beyond the basics. This class offers a tried-and-true method for flying geese (four at a time) without the use of any additional specialty rulers. Price includes longarm quilting of your project. It is simple to add more units to this 48-inch long table runner with just a little extra fabric. Supply list and sample available at the shop.

Is a Bargello-style quilt on your quilting bucket list? Many quilters are attracted to this colorful geometric-wave style of quilt. Cassie has finished a beautiful sample for the shop and wants to teach you her tips and tricks for making one of your own. There are many strips of different widths to cut for this project, so Cassie suggests you cut the strips before you come. She used the Creative Grids Stipology ruler, and loved it! It is available at the shop. Kits for Cassie’s version are also at the shop, or you can pick up the pattern, free with the class, for choosing your own fabrics.
